Matthew Sleeth is an Irish/Australian filmmaker, theatre director and visual artist living in New York.
His work explores the aesthetic and conceptual concerns of New Media through a diverse mix of processes including photography, film, sculpture, installation, publishing and live performance.
Matthew maintains a multi-disciplinary and collaborative practice blending the rigour of 1960s Conceptual Art with the sensory drama of the Romantics to create objects and experiences that are often political, visually ambitious and formally experimental.
In recent years he has contributed to the programs of Carriageworks (Sydney), Sydney Film Festival, National Gallery of Victoria (Melbourne) and Ars Electronica (Linz ) with a mix of live performances, gallery exhibitions and film screenings.
